Sibiu (German Hermannstadt) is the capital of county Sibiu in South Transylvania. It is at about 290 km north-west from Bucharest, the capital of Romania on river Cibin. Sibiu has 167.124 inhabitants.

How to get to Sibiu?

By Plane
Sibiu International Airport is located 5 km west of the city, with direct access to the E81 road. The following airlines operate at Sibiu Airport: Austrian Airlines, Tarom, Blue Air, Lufthansa and Wizz Air. By Train
You can travel by train to several towns throughout the county; the Sibiu railway station only receives national trains while the railway stations from Mediaş and Copşa Mică also receive international trains. By Car
Sibiu is crossed by the European Routes E68 (Arad – Sibiu – Brașov), which enters the country at Nădlac and E81 (Cluj – Sibiu – Pitești – București), which enters the country at Borș.
